Committed to a Stronger Marin

By Giving List Staff   |   January 13, 2023

Community Action Marin, the county’s largest nonprofit anti-poverty agency, helps over 20,000 individuals each year. Our team works hard to ensure people are on pathways to self-sufficiency. Year round, they stand side-by-side with people in the community to alleviate crises, change lives, and foster hope.

If you want to learn more about the impact that we have made because of caring community and hard work across Marin County, we invite you to look at our 2022 Annual Report, which showcases stories from the most recent fiscal year.

We know you’ll be moved by what donors can help make possible. There are still many who are not able to make ends meet in Marin. It takes a village, and we believe we can make a difference for more of our neighbors so that the future will be brighter for all of us.

Here is what gifts can do:

  • $50 supports preschool children with our healthy eating curriculum, or helps an older adult with a 1:1 financial coaching session.
  • $100 provides a childcare center with a small classroom library, or gives an unhoused person a good sleeping bag and gloves for the cold weather.
  • $250 gives children at our centers a new learning garden with seeds and digging tools, or ensures our peer specialists have trauma-responsive training.
  • $500 gives a one-time cash grant to someone in need.

Going into this new year, help us continue help people and families of low income to achieve well-being, setting them on a path to stability and greater hope. We hope you’ll be inspired by what you see is possible when we work side-by-side in community. Join us in our mission and donate today and see the many other ways you can get involved

I’ve seen how Community Action Marin has strengthened advocacy to help keep people housed and safe during the pandemic. They have taken on challenges no one else could sustain through homeless outreach, mental health, and basic needs. As a neighbor in Marin, I’m so proud to stand with Chandra and Community Action Marin in the work of achieving AN EQUITABLE RECOVERY.”
